Amish knows that Arizona's seniors are worried about the security of their retirement. Congressional Republicans and the Trump Administration's DOGE put Social Security and Medicare on the chopping block and economic instability threatens their 401(k) investments. Republicans in Congress have already gutted Medicaid in their so-called One Big Beautiful Bill, and now they hope to raise the Social Security retirement age and cut Medicare benefits too.
In Congress, Dr. Shah will always stand up to protect Social Security and Medicare so that every Arizona senior receives the benefits they paid for and earned.
He will fight to protect Medicare for our seniors, reverse the cruel Medicaid cuts, and lower premiums while expanding access to affordable health care for all Americans.

As an emergency physician, Dr. Shah witnesses firsthand the struggles of patients who cannot afford the care they need. Our current healthcare system is broken, prescription drugs are unaffordable, and reproductive freedoms are under attack. And now, Republicans in Congress have gutted Medicaid and other healthcare programs that Arizonans rely on — including our seniors and children.

Amish believes that only a woman and her provider should make decisions about reproductive healthcare. That’s why he worked across the aisle in the Arizona State Legislature to protect access to the abortion drug mifepristone. Dr. Shah has a 100% pro-choice voting record, and he will continue protecting a woman’s right to choose in Congress by codifying Roe v. Wade.

As an emergency room physician, Amish has seen firsthand the devastating impacts of gun violence and illegal drug trafficking. In the State House, he worked across the aisle to improve public safety by supporting Arizona’s first responders and curbing the flow of illegal and dangerous drugs like fentanyl.
In Congress, he’ll continue to work to keep our communities safe by taking action to reduce gun violence, fully funding our police, and stopping the flow of fentanyl across the border.
Amish is proud to have earned the endorsement of three law enforcement unions — the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Arizona, the Phoenix Police Sergeants & Lieutenants Association, and the Maricopa Deputies Law Enforcement Association.

Arizona is facing a severe drought that threatens our economy and our way of life. The Trump Administration has made Arizona’s water challenges harder by cutting Arizona's share of the Colorado River, withholding federal funding for water infrastructure, and pushing AI companies to build water-hungry data centers in the desert.
In Congress, Dr. Shah will do everything in his power to protect our water supply. He will work to deliver the federal resources Arizona communities and Tribes need to build resilience against drought, make sure we enact smart conservation policies so we don’t waste a single drop, and fight for Arizona’s fair share of the Colorado River.
And he will work to stop data centers from being built in our district, unlike his opponent who wants to build them here.

Every kid deserves a real chance
All of Arizona’s children deserve a strong public education. Amish knows that a good education can change lives, but our educators are underpaid and our schools are underfunded.
In Congress, Amish will defend the Department of Education, champion increased funding for public schools, and push for better teacher pay. He is committed to lowering the cost of higher education and ensuring that every student can access quality training without the burden of crushing debt, regardless of their chosen path.

American Democracy is under attack. Extremists have cast doubt on the results of our elections, threatened to decertify the will of Arizona’s voters, and incited a deadly insurrection to stop the counting of votes. The Trump Administration has been trampling on the U.S. Constitution: attacking judges, defying court orders — including from the U.S. Supreme Court — and carrying out enforcement actions without due process. Dr. Shah will stand up for the rule of law.
In the State House, Amish demonstrated unwavering commitment to safeguarding the integrity of our electoral process. In Congress, he will continue to uphold our Constitution and protect democratic institutions.

STOPPING ANIMAL CRUELTY
Our nation should never tolerate cruelty to animals, and all animals deserve humane treatment, including those raised for food. The mistreatment of animals runs counter to our long-standing legal traditions and religious values, and addressing it helps prevent the spillover of viruses, violence, and other threats to our communities. Businesses must root out animal cruelty in their supply chains, research programs, and operations to stay aligned with their customers and the norms of a civil society, because helping animals helps us all by building a society where people, animals, and nature live in balance.
As a State Representative, Dr. Shah led efforts to crack down on puppy mills, end the unwarranted mutilation of cats through declawing, and halt the sale of kangaroo parts in the United States to stop the mass slaughter of kangaroos in their native habitats.
In Congress, he will fight to stop puppy mills, staged animal fighting, and horse slaughter for human consumption. As a physician, he will champion more effective, human-relevant testing methods to end the crude use of dogs and primates in research, and he will honor states' rights and local authority to combat factory farming so communities can make democratic decisions to protect animals at the local, state, and federal levels.
